If you're reading this blog post, you most likely took the quiz on my Instagram story and said you wanted this recipe. So, here you go! My homemade healthful hummus.
1 can garbanzo beans aka chic peas
1/2 cup Tahini
1/2 cup water
1 Pinch of salt to taste
1 Pinch of garlic powder to taste
3 whole Spanish olives
1/2 cup shredded yellow squash
Strain and wash garbanzo beans thoroughly. Combine all ingredients and put them into a blender or bullet and puree everything until you get the desired consistency. That is it.
Pro Tip: Put the water in slowly so that you don't make it too watery. You can always add more water, but you can't take it out.
You can use different vegetables to your liking. I used to make an olive and olive oil one for Stella when she was starting solids. I made this one for Beni as he is 10 months now.
